Greetings, Heroes!
Thank you for your continued support of NARAKA: BLADEPOINT. You have been granted access to the Beta Server.
The following changes apply only to this test period and do not represent the final adjustments.
New Content
New Hero: Kael
Kael (云庆) was once a lowly disciple of the Hidden Clan (隐族, literal translation). Ever since he merged souls with Taotie (饕餮, literal translation), he has wielded an extraordinary power he can barely control.
From then on, he took the name Void-Eater (厌虚子, unofficial) and threw himself into the great cause of saving the world.
However, his soul has yet to fully bond with Taotie's, and he is constantly torn between gluttony and holding back his own cravings!
New Water Weapon: Two-Pronged Fork
Legend has it that the Two-Pronged Fork (两股叉, literal translation) was forged by the "Merfolk" (鲛人, literal translation), criminals the Hidden Clan banished to the deep sea. It is an exotic weapon made for underwater combat. Because it carries the Hidden Clan's mystic arts, a spiral mechanism sits between its two prongs. Each swing or thrust stirs up undercurrents and draws in and releases swirling water curtains, trapping foes in an instant and subduing them without a trace.
For now, this weapon can only be obtained in Wanchu – Dark Pearl Abyss. Its attacks rely on flowing water, so it can only be used in water.
New Showdown Event Mode: Demon-Subduing Hall
A secret hall lies hidden on The Morus Isle. Those who enter for its trials cannot bring their own weapons or Souljades. Only by mastering the inner principles of the martial arts can they stand against the powerful foes within. Only those who endure a hundred battles here are true martial masters!
Challenge Rules
- The Demon-Subduing Hall (降魔殿, literal translation) has two difficulties, Nightscream and Legend (传奇, unofficial). Each difficulty has three stages: Shattered Spears (断金戈, literal translation), Storming the Six Paths (闯六道, literal translation) and Crimson Sand Tribulation (红砂劫, literal translation). Note: Fill Party is not available in Trios, so form a party before you take on the challenge.
- You can only use preset heroes, along with their assigned Souljades and Potentials. Each stage offers 4 heroes to choose from.
- Each stage has 4 Challenge Quests, and each one you complete earns 1 star. Collect enough stars to claim limited-time event Rewards.
Leaderboard Rewards
- On Legend difficulty, players are ranked by their best clear time for each stage. Solo and Trios have separate rankings.
- When the event ends, players in the top 10, top 100 and top 500 of each leaderboard will receive limited-time Title rewards.
New Showdown Souljades
- Defuse·Outburst (四象·暴起, literal translation): Increases Defuse Counterattack damage. For a period after a successful Defuse, your moves also gain increased Critical Rate.
- Condensed Crit Art (凝暴术, literal translation): Lowers the cap on Critical Rate gained from Souljade attributes. Any Critical Rate above the cap is converted into Critical DMG.
Hero Adjustments
Yueshan
- During Scorching Dash, Yueshan withstands all types of strike damage, and enemies he collides with have their Attack reduced by 20% for 6 seconds.
- Scorching Dash damage multiplier changed from 1.0 to 0.7.
Developer Comment: In real matches, Yueshan's Scorching Dash is mostly used to engage, and he comes under heavy survival pressure while dashing. This change gives the dash damage resistance and an Attack-reduction effect, and lowers the damage multiplier to match. We want Scorching Dash to do more as an initiation and frontline tool, not just chase damage.
Kylin Zhang
The following changes have been made to the Ultimate Qilin Slash: Rend:
- Health cost per slash reduced from 300 to 250.
- Health restored when a slash hits 1 enemy changed from 150 to 125. Health restored when it hits multiple enemies changed from 350 to 300.
- Health threshold for triggering Qilin Guard (宝血护命) raised from 300 to 450.
Developer Comment: We've lowered the Health cost of Kylin Zhang's slashes during his Ultimate and raised the Health threshold for triggering Qilin Guard. Kylin should get roughly the same number of slashes as before, while keeping his Health higher during fights. This should make him more survivable during his Ultimate.
Underwater Combat
- Some heroes use special weapons after activating their Ultimate:
Yoto Hime,
Ye Xiu,
Yueshan (Almighty General) and
Inor Wan (Thunder Lord). Their basic Horizontal and Vertical Strikes now have better hit effects underwater, so enemy hit reactions better match underwater physics. - Vajra, Bronze Mech,
Xunhuan Li while aiming Flying Knives, and
Cyra in Ultimate Status can now jump repeatedly while underwater.
Developer Comment: The difference in feel between fighting underwater and on land has long been a weak point of underwater combat. This update adjusts the hit feedback of Ultimate special weapons underwater and lets some heroes jump repeatedly underwater. We hope underwater combat now reacts more like real underwater physics and feels smoother to control.
Other Adjustments
- Added a new Hard Control (强控制, literal translation) skill tag. Control effects from skills with this tag now work against Ultimate Focus, Vajra and Bronze Mech.
- Skills with this tag: Moonbane Control, Rising Tide, Enchant, Light's Mercy: Field, Fate Rewritten: Backtrack, Devour All Things (吞噬万物, literal translation).
Developer Comment: Until now, the rules for whether a control effect worked against Ultimate Focus, Vajra and Bronze Mech were inconsistent, so it was hard for players to tell whether a skill would land. The Hard Control tag makes it clear what to expect from these effects and makes fights easier to read.
Souljade Adjustments
Polesword Souljades
- Improved the hit reactions of Thunder Portal.
The Herald's Trial Adjustments
New Ranks
- The Herald's Trial minimum rank score lowered from 1000 to 0.
- Two new ranks added below Bronze: Plain Stone (素石, literal translation) for 0–499 points and Grey Lead (灰铅, literal translation) for 500–999 points.
Earn Herald Points in Quick Match
- Rank Points have been renamed Herald Points (天选分, literal translation). Quick Match and Ranked Mode now share the same Herald Points.
- Quick Match only adds points and never deducts them, up to a maximum of 1500.
- Once you reach 1500, you'll need to play Ranked Mode to raise your Herald Points further.
Hero Score Adjustments
- Quick Match now also awards The Herald's Trial Hero Score (英雄分). Hero Score calculations use a baseline capped at 1500 points.
- Playing Quick Match will not deduct Hero Score.
Rerank Challenge Adjustments
- Unranked players can play Quick Match as normal, but it won't count toward Rerank Challenge progress.
- Rerank Challenges must still be completed in Ranked Mode.
- Rerank Challenges now have a new trigger condition: your Herald Points must be above 1500. Rerank Challenges will also no longer place players in Bronze. Players who have already unlocked Ranked Mode and triggered a Rerank Challenge can still finish it.
Point Carryover Rules
- Players who have already unlocked Ranked Mode keep their existing Solo, Duos and Trios Herald Points.
- Players who haven't unlocked Ranked Mode receive starting Herald Points based on their account level before the update, from 0 to 1000.
- Below 1000 points, Solo, Duos and Trios share Herald Points and no points are deducted. Above 1000, each mode is tracked separately.
In-Match Gameplay Adjustments
The Evolution
- In The Evolution, kills, rescues and damage now give more XP and more Battle Pass XP.
- Increased the chance of getting Epic (优品) and Legendary Techniques (法门) after winning in the Realm of Yang.
- Increased how many Valiant Challenge and Bounty Quest Scrolls appear in The Evolution, and how often they appear.
- Added mutual exclusion rules for some Techniques. Once you pick a Technique, Techniques that conflict with it will no longer appear in later Technique selections or refreshes. The exclusions work both ways:
- Unarmed Counter excludes related Souljade move Techniques.
- Forbidden Art I excludes related skill Techniques (including Forbidden Art II).
- Forbidden Art II excludes related Rage and Ultimate Techniques (including Forbidden Art I).
- Built Different excludes related Souljade Techniques.
Out-of-Match Adjustments
Talent Improvements
- Talents can now be changed during the Preparation stage.
- The Swap Glyph page now has a new "Change Potential" button. Click it to open the adjustment screen.
- Every change saves instantly and carries over to your out-of-match settings and your next match.
World Chat Improvements
- Increased the maximum number of players who can chat in the World channel at the same time.
Profile Screen Changes
- My Info and Season Stats now show Martial Artist Duel·Competition stats.
- Highest win streak and Avg. DMG for this mode only count matches played after this update. Earlier match history is not included.
Rift Traversal Adjustments
In-Match Gameplay Improvements
- Adjusted some quests on the Stormchant Bulletin Board.
- Improved the interaction prompt for the Treasure Coffin (藏宝棺). The player who opens it now gets 30 seconds of priority search time.
- White Emperor Crate·Legendary (白帝密匣·极) in Caves on the Stormchant map now takes less time to open.
Showdown Adjustments
Combat Adjustments
- Changes to
Viper Ning's Ultimate Moonbane Control: Showdown:- New effect: Summons Moonbane's Eye, which watches enemies within range for 25 seconds. During this time, Breath of Yin (阴极之息, literal translation) keeps pouring out to strike the watched enemies. Hitting an enemy with an Aegis-break Martial Skill or a Defuse Counterattack sends out one extra Breath of Yin.
- Viper is immune to Freeze while summoning.
- Viper's Ultimate can no longer be cancelled partway through.
Yueshan's Almighty General skill Rampage: Showdown: After hitting an enemy, Yueshan can instantly perform an exclusive Charged Attack.- Yueshan's Almighty General charged Vertical Strike multiplier increased from 20 to 30.
- Souljade Thunder Rove effect changed to: "When your Thundershock gauge is full, the Divine Thunder you summon can be Countered and no longer causes Stagger, and your own Thundershock accumulation cap is lowered. Divine Thunder reflected by a Counter travels back and forth in a straight line, striking along its path. Elemental Accumulation Rate increased by 60% (cannot be equipped together with Thunder Counter)."
- All basic Defuse Counterattack moves now have 3× their original damage multiplier, and their Astral Aegis multiplier is reduced to 50% of the original. Overall, Defuse Counterattacks deal more damage and more DMG to Astral Aegis.
Feature Adjustments
Souljade Deconstruct Improvements
When you deconstruct a single Souljade from the Inventory, you can now deconstruct Souljades that are Equipped or Locked.
Feature Optimizations
Client
- Rebuilt the game's core resource-loading system. Main-thread stutter during heavy loading is now much lower, so loading is smoother and the game runs more stably.
Bug Fixes
Hero Bugs
- Improved the trail effect of
Feria Shen's Legendary Accessory Urban Hunt·Bang-Tap-Boom Meow (狩猎都市·嘭嗒嘣喵, literal translation) while running in matches. - Fixed an issue where
Takeda Nobutada would not immediately trigger Mythic Grab when hit while landing or while holding a ranged weapon.
Combat Bugs
- Fixed an issue where Liu Bang could fall unexpectedly during the Rift Traversal Stormchant quest Escape from Hongmen (鸿门脱险).
Other
